Songwriter and publisher, William “Bill” Peppers had a few hits songs before passing away at the age of forty. Elvis Presley recorded one of his songs, “I Was the One”, which was on the flip side of Elvis’ first major hit, “Heartbreak Hotel.”  Some of you country fans may remember a song he wrote called, “My Lips Are Sealed” that was recorded by Jim Reeves.  Bill Peppers wrote a very famous song for which he never received credit. This was part of Saundra’s inspiration for Cywriter Music, as this is an opportunity for her to help prevent that from happening to others.
